Title : Re: Dracolich Phylactery
Dracoliches,
To clarify the recent phylactery change, I didn't mean to
imply that this now makes the Dracolich a "combat" subclass.
You are still meant to use your spells to defeat your opponents.
This wasn't an increase to the Dracolich's combat abilities <r>beyond what they already were. They're still the same as
bfore, being based on the current lifeforce level within your
phylactery. The new benefit comes from the fact that this
lifeforce level should now stay a little higher while in combat,
because you will be draining lifeforce back via combat hits to
replace the lifeforce you lose casting spells. But you won't do
any better in combat than you would have before this change at
any given level of phylactery charge (1 to 100 percent). Again,
it's just that the charge will stay higher and keep you closer
to your maximum combat ability -- but that combat ability is not
intended to be one where you can just rely on combat hits to win
a fight. :)
Cheers,
