While this or may not be the first time this has happened or not, I'm
going to explain the how and why of this change. With the actual
numbers.
Previously, balrogs weapons had a potential of adding an extra 45
damage *per hit*. Taking into account that balrogs actually have
a potential of 6+ attacks per round. That is a potential of 270
added in *combat* alone per round. That's doing nothing other than
shifting into the balrog form.
Add onto this the fact that they get huge bonuses, in combat,
attacking, toughness, invuln etc. A potential of 270 per round is
a bit much? Isn't i?
So I changed it to something while not reasonable in some peoples
eyes, something more reasonable for balrogs. It now has a potential
of about 120 extra damage per round. Roughly cut in 1/2 from what
it was.
While I know some people won't like this change. You can't actually
think to yourself that an extra 270 damage per round is reasonable.
I'm not blowing you off though. If people out there think this change
is unreasonable, I'm up for suggestions on the situation.
Potential points would be the max attacks per round, and the bonuses
to the skills you gain in balrog form. Or if you can come up with
something better i'd like to hear from you. You can either mail me
or you can post your suggestions on the suggestion board.
Oh and btw I also lessened the resistance loss while in balrog form
to offset this a bit.

*Edited: As it stands now this is what's in the game. Try it out
a bit. However, on suggestion from some players I'm going
to try something else. Suck on this a bit and get some ideas on how
it plays.
Tomorrow when I have time, i'll put the otehr change in and let you
play with it a bit :)
