The Bard eyes you warily and says:

   The caverns of the Illithid are not to be
travelled lightly.  The Mindflayers are masters of 
strange and terrible mental powers.  I would not
tread to heavily upon their territory.  They are
completely alien to us, and their only allies
are the Dark Elves.
   I once spent a month in their slaves pens, and I 
would not care to repeat that experience.
