One of my hesitations was that &lt;br&gt;it would be one more thing to maintain, and it could easily get out of &lt;br&gt;sync with actual development. A few weeks ago Russeldog suggested it might &lt;br&gt;be productive for us to have a &quot;plan&quot; which communicated a sense of &lt;br&gt;direction and priorities to the wizards as a group--so we could hopefully &lt;br&gt;get on the same page.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Russeldog's suggestion encouraged me to do some work on generating a &lt;br&gt;rudimentary public roadmap from a subset of reports in ur task system. I &lt;br&gt;should note obvious caveats:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;1.) The roadmap reflects my current priorities; it's all but inevitable &lt;br&gt;that some of the projects on this list will be scrapped as we move along, &lt;br&gt;and new ones will be added.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;2.) The roadmap's timescale is intentionally vague and it won't really be &lt;br&gt;productive to use it as a means of anticipating when a given project will &lt;br&gt;wrap up. Some projects will inevitably have their timescales adjusted as &lt;br&gt;we go.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;3.) I welcome feedback on the roadmap and projects on it, but part of the &lt;br&gt;point of a roadmap is to allow us to focus on current and near-term &lt;br&gt;projects while offloading some of our longer-term goals from the list of &lt;br&gt;things we actively think about. I don't need to see wall-of-text &lt;br&gt;posts/tells/mudmails about projects many months down the road.
